Hey all. Anyone installed the new drivers from Nvidia and noticed any heat differences with their graphics cards when folding? I know it maybe hard to tell for some of you in the UK with summer, but my 2 GTX 275s are now running @ 89 and 82, where as before they ran @ 79 and 73. Its winter here in Oz, the room is 19 degrees. Anyone notice a change or am I delusional
Just a slight difference, about 2 to 3 degrees at the same ambient but a slightly faster TPF on the same project.
Maybe its a performance increase in the driver. IF it's stable and reliable I'm all for better folding performance with an extra couple degrees heat EDIT: Word of warning, I think the 275 drivers have killed folding on GTS450's again like the 270 drivers. GAH, roll back here we come. sort it out nVidia
Several threads on this topic (and similar) on the Stanford forums. Seems to be complicated to diagnose, let alone cure. Best solution? - go back to previous drivers.
