    fingers crossed they sell em cheaper then 5850 n outperform 5850 to to bring about a price drop
    and i'd buy a 5850

    My favourite post of the day. If the GTX 465 is faster and cheaper than the HD 5850, you'd buy the HD 5850!

    Praying they launch on the 1st... being waiting for this for my build. I cant afford the extra £50 for the 470... plus the power it would consume. I'd prefer to spend the £50 on a heater rather than let nvidia take that market too!

    I think you've got the crazy. 470s struggle enough against a 5850, how on earth do you think the badly crippled "465" is going to compete?

    Rumour has it that it'll be competing performance wise, with 5770s (I expect it to be faster than a 5770 however) but priced at 5850's prices.

    nVidia are crazy, but they rely on their crazy fans who buy their crap no matter what.

    As you've pointed out elsewhere, why 465? Why not 460 so it fits in with their standard naming convention?

    Unlikely given the architecture design (as these will simply be GF100 chips that have been binned (didn't meet the grade for a GTX480 or 470)).

    Given the GF100 yeilds, and adding in the complexities of the card and cooling system (I assume this would have the same reference cooler as the GTX470) I can't imagine this card coming in at less than a HD5850, at least not at launch.

    I'm right there with you.

    I love the ATI cards, i so badly regret i bought a 9800 gt when I was begining and ill informed via nVidia fans. I could have gotten a 4870 for the same price ;(

    Nevertheless Ati is now kinda bad behaved. I think they should lower they're price because the product is a year old and is really cheapier to them to produce. Or will that happen when AMD beggins making they're own chips?
