Hi all, I'm getting close to buying a new system based on the ASUS P5N32-E SLI PLUS board, which uses the nVidia RAID array technology. According to the manual, I need to have the RAID drivers installed before I install Windows on the RAIDed drives, but it says nothing about data drives. If I have my main system disk outside of the RAID array (say 2x500GB drives in a RAID 1 array) will the RAID array work, or do I have to still use the driver disk?

I only ask, because I'm going to have at least 3 different OSs on the system (XP, Vista and a flavour of Linux) and, if I use the RAID array, I would like to be able to have all of the data on the system RAIDed, not just the Windows data.

Of course, I could just set up the system so that it backs up to a separate system, but I'm curious about raiding the disks. If I can't then I'll have to rethink my disk strategy somewhat...

    Thanks in advance.

    Andy
