News Nvidia settles GTX 970 4GB class action lawsuits

Yes, people do quite reasonably expect to get 1000gb from a device purporting to have said capacity but as storage manufacturers have been misleading customers for so long it has become a 'standard'. That doesn't make it right for consumers. I realise Nvidia misled customers in a different way but both situations result in consumers not getting what they expected

 

I agree on the storage thing. Changing them over to TiBs and GiBs would require some external regulation though. It's good to see NVidia getting a slap for not being transparent on their product spec.
