I love this, instead of a "press" showcase. Nvidia deliver the goods to the people (gamers) that really want to look and play with it. And also a new chipset.
More interesting is the launch of a new MCP. Could this be a replacement for the 570 or the 590? Could we see higher overclocks?
hmmm, I find it strange that they allready want to change the MCP...I mean it isn't really that old....should it really be changed??
I wonder how quickly I'd get kicked out if I showed up with my ATI-powered rig...
I think this launch is a great idea, really. They're bypassing the companies and going straight to the gamers. They'll probably give away several cards at the party and get tons of hype in the air, especially when the players go home and post on all the forums they freqent that G80 rocks.
Still, though, isn't this a bit close to the launch of the 7950 GX2? Is nVidia trying to catch up to ATI in numbers, or something?
they'll probably piss everyone off and just show the insides of a ps3 lol. it is technically a "next gen" gpu, even if its really a couple of generations old anyway.
You know something that we don't.... heck you probably already have benched their new toy(s) and you are waiting for the NDA to lift
But props to nVidia for keeping up with the trend they started of hard launches instead of stacks of documents.
goddamn i wish i live in san fransisco..........
I'm actually going to this event with Sangaku for the case mod contest, should be fun.
awesome, take pics!
Guess what I found on the net?
