Ok - before anyone starts let me say I like XP, and don't wont to get rid of it - so no advice on changing to dos / linux / 98SE / 2000 / BEOS / OS X... Right. Since I've installed my GF4 4400, I get an intermittant BSOD when running games / 3d stuff. I've read elseware that XP doesn't particuarly like Nvidia cards at the mo, and that a fix is in the pipeline with SP1. What I can't get my head round is the fact my previous card was a GF2 Ti - but XP ran flawlessly with it! Has anybody else had these problems? All I can remeber from the BSOD screen is something like PFN_LIST_blah blah blah. Has anybody found an interim solution? I cant wait for SP1, as I'm in the middle of JKII, Dungeon Seige and GTA3, and these random reboots are driving me nuts!!!!
Try the 29.20 Dets, they are supposed to be faster and very stable.......... Also does the error message every say anything like 'Infinite loop' because if so it is a common problem, albeit a tricky one to solve.......search for the error message and see what possible solutions come up
I'm running a leaked version of 29.60, but even so, I have had nothing but good performance with any drivers and my card. Not one problem..... Good Luck!!!
