Not a big deal really, Eyefinity isn't really perfect yet either so NV can hopefully catch up with the AMD solution and learn from some of the short comings. Also all of the Eyefinity optimised games should also play well with any NV solution.
What they should be focusing on is actually getting some competing graphics cards into the market.
Its pretty much inferior to ATI's alternative anyway, although this will give the gtx295 longer life span.
And any gtx200 sli setups.
Does anyone really care about multiple monitors? I'd say its a very small percentage of users
once you try eyefinity, its really hard to go back:
I wonder how much truth there is in the "It's delayed until june only".
They said countless times "Fermi's due *month*" and it was an outright lie.
Might this have something to do with Nvidia's cards burning up while trying to power one monitor let alone > 1 ?
That looks glorious! Would love to see same with 6 monitors and as soon as they get rid of the bezels ... mmm
speaking from experience, i could go back to playing on a single screen.
i showed that demo site to some of my colleagues (who know i have an eyefinity array), and got called nasty names
The longer they spend working on it hopefully the better it will be.
I'm sick of recieving half finished products being called final. If they can improve on the eyefinity system then i'm willing to wait.
I do! i run an Eyefinity setup myself.
All games easily become more fun, expecially Driving and Sim Games.
can you get 3 monitors off sli? but not for gaming?
Isn't one big screen just cheaper and nicer with no bezzels etc? I'm aware the resolution isn't as high as having 6 all at high res but I'd be more distracted by the bezzels... which they cant completely get rid of!
its not as bad as you think, with 3 screens your focus is on the middle screen, with the other 2 providing peripheral vision - so you dont notice the bezels.
The thing is that eyefinity is not that hard software and logically. When you aim to several screens whoms angles you don't control, give a person estereoscopic vision is a nightmare.
So with 2 9800 gx2s I could get 4 monitors?
BT staff said the same about going back it was just painful because they wanted to keep on the 3 monitor setup xD
nVidia hit with delays?
Sure I've got a 24" which is big enough! Ride a bike so do use my peripheral vision, but hooking up 3+ monitors is getting carried away here for a gaming experience. Rather fork out the cash towards a new bike.
I rather have 3 high quality LCD setup than a half baked stereo 3D with a ridiculous glasses.
Separate names with a comma.
