    Well that was unexpected. So was that original price just really tone deaf or were they actively pushing their luck?

    The response does remind me of the old Politburo announcements, everything is going exactly according to plan!

    Seems like we should be more positive towards all overpriced components if that is how you get a price cut. Would have been very nice when Nvidia's current lineup was released.

    Indeed, according to NZXT press release logic all we have to do is offer Intel a sexual favour as a reward for pricing the i9 7980xe so well and they will send us one for the price of a candy bar.

    So it's dropped from 'hilariously overpriced' to simply 'bloody expensive'...
