    Escaping from an orchestrated ambush at 60mph.. yea.. mmm.. dunno bout you but I'd rather have a car that can haul ass in the event of an emergency rather than just take abuse and not be able to out-accelerate or go faster than a prius (a prius can hit 60 in 10 seconds, but granted, can't withstand much :p ). They can just pace the car and keep whittling away at it..

    It's only £300,000 apparently. In reality that isn't THAT much....

    A Maybach 67 or whatever it is goes for quite a bit more in fact, something like 340k I think.

    Surprised it's so slow though...and it's a diesel? I love diesels but to get the President away from danger...?

    the thing probably weighs in excess of 15 tons(look at how much armour is on the car). you need the diesel to provide the kind of torque necessary to pull that thing to 60mph in 15 seconds.

    that said, they probably should have had a couple words with ZE CHERMANS on tuning that thing. i bet they could have provided a bitchin' common rail injection system

    Ugly as hell, but then again for once someone actually WANTED an american car and there just are no beauties to be found... ;) Should keep him safe from firearms though, which I guess is after all the main thing.

    How much did that discreetly armoured Bentley cost that was made for the Queen? I remember seeing that at the Commonwealth games, it almost filled the stadium! :p

    Why cant the President has a decent car. I think I would respect him alot more if he drove a Corvette ZR-1 with a stoopidly large exhaust and airbrushed flames and 'DA PREZ_MOBILE' in massive letters.

    i was just about to post that link. possibly the most badass thing i've ever seen.

    all this limo really has to withstand is one missile hit. anything after that will be taken care of.
