    Lizard says:

"They were ATX boards, not micro-ATX - i.e. the Asus P8P67."

Maybe the competition should have been titled "Win duff hardware" instead of "Win next gen hardware".

    1 off non B3 board
    1 off dead board
    1 off incomplete board

3 out of 22 attendees affected.... That's more things wrong with Asus kit than I've ever experienced, and I've been buying only Asus for about 10 years now!

Doh! Shoot themselves in the foot why don't you!

Glad that their customer server was so good though. Sorted mine out a charm. Yet to test/build it mind.... :)

Yep also the Asus 5870 was knackered. Seems the prizes have been used. Pretty sucky really. Not heard anything on a replacement yet.
Seems to me the event was rushed with no next gen hardware and only aircooled rigs for overclocking.

Still enjoyed meeting the guys at CPC/BT tho.

Ah, that would explain why the headphones I snagged also came with a superfluous LG DVD drive manual and a receipt from Tesco for about 20 meal deals (meal deals not included). Pretty good headphones tho!
