You'll find that when CityLink have received the parcel it's their responsibility.

If you meant "OcUK" when you said "their", then not if the details given are incorrect. See the Distance Selling Regulations (Act) :) OcUK can and probably will tell culley to take a hike as it isn't their fault and the DSA doesn't apply in this instance.

Arguably for good customer relations OcUK should probably resend the goods but we all know how good they are at that kind of stuff ;)

by "their" I meant citylink, when a parcel was stolen recently from a citylink warehouse, city link had the responsibility of paying for the value.

Basically i got in contact with City Link and they said to goto the police station file a report and get a insident number, they also said that i should ask OcUK to re-order the products and they(City Link) will pay for it. The address to which it was to be delivered to was a pub which is a public place, we think the driver must of got someone in the car park to sign for it! (i know i can't believe it myself)

As to your question RTT, it doesn't have nothing to do with them but i thought it might at the time of the thread being created.

You're making me feel very lucky that a City Link driver lives on the same road as me and that we are on relatively good terms.

    Thats just really retarded.

Also very worrying, I ordered around £1000 of goods from OcUk and now all these horror stories have popped up im b****y worried that i'll miss out tommorow.

As for OcUk them selves...I do have to say they seem to have a good service and nice site, with decent prices...but as soon as you enter the Forum is like entering a BNP rally run by J.Clarkson and the Daily mail's editorial team...but with less brain cells...much prefer it here.

Indeed. But you must edit out "swearies" because it's a "family" forum... I'd never want to expose my kids to that sort of prejudice.

But once you get past that it does have it's decent members. Couple of 'techers are over there.

I find giving firms my correct address when ordering stuff helps tremendously. :thumb:

On another note, if delivery people only accepted the signature of the person named on the address label, I bet well over 90% of deliveries would never get made.

helps if citylink drivers actually turn up. the driver probably just signed for it himself and nicked whatever was in the parcel tbh.

You gave the address as a pub. It's perfectly reasonable to assume that you were in the pub waiting for it to be delivered. Hence the deliveryman goes in says "Is XXX here?" someone says "that's me" deliveryman does his job.

Yeah it is perfectly reasonable to assume but my name is culley and the person who signed it was ford, and you would also assume if it was a pub to see some identification.

city link are awful carriers, and OCUK are awful retailers...
