So considering the price, it appears to be directly competing with the Crucial MX100 (At least here in the States). What exactly makes this better than the MX100 256GB?

The MX100 has a nice feature set to go with it such as hardware encryption and power loss protection not to mention a much higher write endurance (72TB). Does the Arc 100 have any of this?

Maybe I read the charts wrong, but in your comparisons there's no MX10 256GB, only a 512?

Honestly this is mind boggling to me. Such a good drive still hasn't been reviewed by bit-tech? Is it not available in the UK? http://www.anandtech.com/show/8066/crucial-mx100-256gb-512gb-review

I hear the MX100 256GB is a bit slow compared to more popular choices like the 840 EVO. While the 256GB EVO can be found around the $130 mark when it is on sale, this drive and the MX100 is already at that price point (MX100 is actually cheaper). http://www.anandtech.com/show/8380/ocz-launches-arc-100-value-ssd here it is states a review is coming. So if you want directly comparable benchmarks keep an eye out on anandtech.

Please review the MX100 256GB! It would be nice to have a good chart for these entry level drives.

    Bit-tech reviewed the 512GB version, http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/storage/2014/06/02/crucial-mx100-512gb-review/1

All you need to know about the 256GB version is on page 1 in the table. Its significantly worse compared to the 512GB version (and the 128GB one is even more crippled).

Either way, I just don't get the point of those so called "value" ssds, they are not really cheaper than the "proper" ones, might as well just pay the tenner extra, or go bigger as there is a whole bunch of 500GB ssds for under £200 already.
