Recently tried mixing blue and yellow UV dyes to make a nice green (to check it worked ok after I'd suggested mashie try it)... anyway at 50/50 blue/yellow things looked solid green as you'd expect, but a tiny amount of yellow in lots of blue... ...looks kinda funky in a bayres! The effect is amplified a little by my camera but it's largely real, anyone else experiemented with other colours? Didn't notice any effect in my 1/2" tubing, you need to look through a fair thickness of water to see it Rob.
I've mixed blue and green, but the blue was clear and the green slightly visible. You can see the green in the tubing and in the Res, but the real neat stuff happens when you switch on the UV. It almost changes colors or something from more blue at one angle and more green from another. Really strange. I need to take some pics.
I drained down my rig of green dye (it's actually orange in the bottle :/) to try out some blue stuff. I wasn't as impressed at first 'cos it didn't seem to glow that brightly but I later realised I hadn't got all the green out of the rad and found it had taken on a kind of pond water hue as a result. Stupid me had already gone and posted on another forum before I realised too - "my Aqua Computer blue dye sucks, yada, yada, yada" Oh well...
i made up a nice purple colour but there is no point showing you cos it photographs blue :/ Looks fantastic though
