Things are still pretty much the same. We are still 4th in the Chimp Challenge, 3rd in folding points.

Chimp Points in (brackets). Hardware Canucks (48.81) still in 1st. Overclockers.net (43.80) in 2nd and Tech PowerUp (40.21) in 3rd.
Then there is a gap, with Custom PC & Bit-tech (28.67) 4th, EVGA (25.21) in 5th by the narrowest margin. Overclockers Australia (25.20) in 6th,
    TSC!Russia (24.11) in 7th, Maximum PC (21.31) 8th, Overclockers.net (20.61) 9th.

At about 1 am our time, the chat box on the HWC results page was over-run by bots and trolls for up to an hour.

    2am
We (28.85) are still in 4th place. Overclockers Australia (25.43) have changed places with EVGA (25.40) again.

    10am
We (30.71) are still in 4th place. We still have the 3rd highest number of folding points and have just reached 20 million points, so under the old rules we would have finished the Challenge in 3rd place. A podium position!

You are not giving us much information. Client? OS? It sounds as if you will need to uninstall and start again from the beginning.
    Follow these instructions

wait for you gpu to finish its current WU, then delete all your clients and start over, do the SMP first [remember to set the -smp flag] and when you've got that working, do the gpu3 client.

or give the v7 beta a go

Don't need to uninstall GPU client if its working as its totally separate from SMP, just uninstall or delete the windows SMP client and start again.

    Easy 2 min guide:

Make sure you download this one - http://www.stanford.edu/group/pandegroup/folding/release/FAH6.34-win32-SMP.exe

Create a folder on your C drive called 'FAH' for example, move the exe you just downloaded into the FAH folder, rename the FAH6.34-win32-SMP.exe to fah6.exe

Open a command prompt and type:

    cd\FAH
    fah6 -smp -configonly
(now set up the username, team, passkey etc)

Once config has finished now type:
fah6 -smp -bigadv (or leave -bigadv off if you are not wanting to run them)

You should be set to go, let us know how you get on

We (31.51) are still in 4th place. TSC!Russia have 20 million folding points in the CC and would have finished in 4th place under last year's rules.

    2pm
We (31.60) are still in 4th place. Overclockers Australia (29.68) are getting closer behind us. EVGA (28.12) have TSC!Russia (27.53) breathing down their necks

    Hey G0UDG

In the con-fig panel you can set it to a specific number of cores or allow it to detect automatically.

If you have a quad core it should say SMP 4 in the main panel. If you have hyper threading it might say SMP 8

GPU is the same, but unless you have a 5000 or 6000 series ATI it will only display GPU 0 as the 0 is the first GPU in the system. If you have more than one then you will need to add a slot for GPU 1 and so on.

I recently discovered that those ATI card can run two GPU clients on one chip, thus getting extra PPD :D

A question for anyone : Do we have to sign up for Chimps or do my points being part of the team automatically get added?:geek:

Hi matey does v7 auto set it to download big adv or do I have to type in -bigadv in the config tab,I am using a 6 core 980x cpu it tells me the fahcore is oxa3 is that bid adv or normal smp,yep says smp12 so i guess its running ok not sure if its getting big adv though I hope so as thats what i want to fold with to get more points for the team. as far as im aware your points get added automatically as part of the team m8

if you want to run the gpu as well add a GPU slot in the configuration, you can specify a gpu [gpu 0 for the first gpu, gpu 1 for the second etc.] or leave it as '-1' and it'll pick the first available gpu. likewise setting the SMP slot to '0' will use all available cores/threads.

If you want to set the 'bigadv' flag on the SMP client, in the 'Extra Slot Options' add one with the name 'client-type' and the value 'bigadv' [both without the quotes]. more detailed instructions can be found here

if you set the bigadv flag after it has started a unit it'll complete that unit before asking for a bigadv one, you can get it to abort/dump the unit by changing the number of available cores and changing it back but you really shouldn't do that.

@Haphestus only WUs submitted as 'CustomBitChimps' count, so if you want to contribute change your name to that and PM coolamasta for the passkey so the team gets any bonus points from SMP/bigadv units
