It looks like I'm a little late to the party, but I appear to be in a unique position to help.

The place I work for has moved to new computers across the entire corporation, and although most of the old equipment was leased, some of it was not. I have been given the okay to get rid of it all, as we do not want to support old machines in our current environment. I have also been given the okay to sell it and donate any proceeds to charity.

And what better charity than John :thumb:

Here is my thread in the For Sale forum, and everything is priced to move. Not only am I cleaning out my office, but I'm helping out someone near and dear to all of us. Everyone wins!

No problem. The board will accept i3, i5, and i7 I think.

Leave it as room for winner to upgrade, although they shouldn't have to.

I've been looking at 1155 processors for my personal build and a man could get a headache. 2500, 2500K, 2600, 2600K, 3960(bring money). I have NO idea what any of it means - onlocked, cache size, etc.

Don't EVEN get me ranting on what the heck memory timing is about.

Overclock? Only clock I had, I threw against the wall when I had to accept retirement.

You want weapons grade software? Come to me.

This is all new and seriously keeps me happy learning.

@John: obviously you enjoy the learning, but you really can't go wrong with the i5 2500k, overclocking it is child's play, most people don't even need to increase voltage to hit 4.5Ghz. Though you will need a quality cooling system to keep the temps reasonable.

I'll be working on the last few icons I need for the launcher tonight, pics should be up by the end of the week.
