I saw a ghost in my parents bedroom once, and my mum told me to never tell my younger brother. It seems that she knows the room has a ghost in it, but never told me or my bro.

I have the book from livingTV's most haunted. And it is a very good book and it is a good read, I would certainly reccomend anyone to read it.

If you read the first post it says don't make up stories. It would be good if people can share their TRUE stories, if people fill it up with crap we don't know if its true or not.

I'm not sure if this was a paranormal experience, or just dumb luck. When I was 8, I lived in an apartment building in Lahr Germany. One of my favorite games was playing Freefall with my action figures. This involved me standing in the stairwell on the top floor, and dropping the action figure down between the little space between the stairs. On a good drop, you could drop it right to the basement. In any case, during one of these games, I managed to drop the figure right to the basement, but when I went down to get it, I couldn't find it. After about 10 minutes, i noticed it sitting on a window ledge in the stairwell. The strange thing was that it was actually sitting, with it's legs bent and everything. Also the ledge was about 7 feet up. I know for sure that the figure couldn't bounce that high. It realy kinda freaked me out at the time.

Looking back, I figure it was one of three things that happened.
    1 - A really lucky toss
2 - Someone was down there, and sat it on the ledge (looked around at the tme, but couldn't find anyone in the basement. plus there was a big metal door that they would have had to pass through, and they are not quiet when they close)
    3 - Ghosts!

I'll let yo be the judge :)

There was a house i lived in with 5 guys my last year at school and I being unlucky had to literally share a room of the house with another guy. We put a divider up so we didnt have to watch each other sleep thank god but one time i was gone and he just got out of the shower and walked into the room and looked at my computer chair and there was an old lady sitting in it whos face was smashed it. It scared the hell out of him and he was literally shaking the rest of the night.

Two weeks later i was leaning on the door way to the downstairs talking to a buddy of mine in the room and he turned around for a few minutes and from the right side i started to hear this really faint scream that came right up to me and scared me so bad i literally fell down 24 steps. The guy who was in the room could hear the same thing only he said it sounded like someone started screaming right next to me and then shoved me down the stairs. I dont know and cant say if i was actually pushed as it doesnt seem possible but by buddy swears i was.

I try not to belive in them but sometimes i think i let my imagination get the better of me and it becomes more real than it actually is like if im walking down a dark street to my house the hairs on my neck and arms will be standing on end untill ive locked myself in the house. I always see strange movements out of the corners of my eye and I have incredible hearing for things that most people dont pay attention to. At the same time someone can start talking to me and i wont hear a word they say.

Alright last night i went running. Recently here on the west coast it's been getting darker earlier, so i've been getting used to running from 5 to 6:45, and catching my bus at 7. So at 4:45 i get off the bus, drop off my backpack in my usual hiding spot in the park down the street, and start running. Now you've gotta know this area because it's well know around here for ghost stories mostly because A.)it gets so dark at night B.) there is lots of thick shrubs and dark hills C.) a few miles from houses/civilization, (google Blackstar Canyon if you're actually interested). It's also known for it's wild animals, include dangerous snakes, mountain lions, bobcats, foxes, coyotes, ect.. I have just seen numerous animals in my time.

So back to running, I ended up going a little farther than i expected and got 3.5 miles in before i turned around, so im rushing back because it's starting to get dark at like 6. I get back at 6:50, and head toward my bag. So im walking back, cooling down, and i hear a whole bunch of moving in the shrubs like 50 ft away, something really really big. So im thinking it's like the worst thing possible, a mountain lion or two looking for food. But just in case i yell, "Hello, is someone out there." like 3 or 4 times, and then all the noise stops, which really freaks me out. Out of no where this guy jumps out of a tree that's right in front of me like 100ft, and runs into the bushes that are making noise. Now im thinking, WTF?? and do i really need that backpack? After just standing there in awe for about a mintue a different guy comes out of the bushes walking toward me smoking a cig. Mean while i notice a few more people walking out of the bushes, just fanning out. So i wait a bit, letting the guy get about 15 ft away, and ask, "Dude, what's up." He doesn't say a thing, and im freakin out, so i start jogging toward the park entrance a good, 1000 ft away. I take my time and come up with a plan, so i run around the park, heading toward my stuff from the opposite direction i came, run full speed toward my stuff, grab it and take off. I passed the guy smoking the cig on the way out, he was just standing there. From how they looked and acted I'd say they where just homeless people.

But there was just something about what i know about the area, and how dark it was and just how the guy looked, i was really really scared, probably the most scared in my life. ehh that was long..

For anyone who knows the area, it was the North side of Irvine park right where Jamboree ends, and i was running the Peters Canyon Mountains to the Sea route.

I realize it's not esspecially paranormal, but it freaked me out nonetheless.

I'm not a superstitious person, but I've seen and heard some weird things:

Many times when I've been downstairs watching tv alone at 2am I'll hear someone whisper my name in my ear. This is accompanied by a breeze on that ear only. The house has no drafts normally. For the record, this is a different voice than the one that tells me thin....., err, my wife's voice, that is.

Three times I've seen someone (appeared to be a young girl) move through my (brightly lit) kitchen from one room to another when I've been the only one home. My wife and oldest son have also seen it on different occasions.

I've sat at my computer and seen what seemed to be a 3 or 4 year old child watching me from the next room. I still feel the hair on my head literally stand on end everytime he just fades away. This has happened when my oldest son has been in the room with me, but he just saw something out of the corner of his eye.

I've been asleep and felt someone, heavy enough to flex the mattress, sit or lie on the bed - I turn over expecting to see my wife. Not only is the other side of the bed empty, but my wife has been downstairs with the kids and none of them had been upstairs for at least an hour nor been in my room since I went to bed.

Walking through the living room, I've felt someone gently hold my wrist, then felt a hand slide up my arm to my elbow.

I've seen plates and bowls, that were at room temperature, literally explode as if hit in the center by a sledgehammer. This has happened minutes after they were placed on the table (on soft cloth placemats). There had been no cold, warm or hot items placed on the table for several hours prior. They've been different materials as well: china, stoneware, ceramic, corelle, and glass.

I've been walking down streets and seen people coming towards me that simply disappeared from one step to the next or passed through other people.

    That paranormal enough for you?

I had something similar to that plate thing once.

One time I was in my living room, the rest of the family were out at town, I was reading on my couch and listening to some choons, and a vase just...exploded I guess, it went in all directions, not with that much force, just enough to scatter it abit.

Family always assumed I'd broken it, was too freaked out to explain that "it just exploded".

One of my friends grandfather died 2 or 3 years ago and she has said that she one more than one occasion has seen her grandfather in the dining room, and her father also said the same thing. They only told me after I felt a presence in the room and told my friend about it. Spooky.

According to everyone on IRC, I AM a ghost. So I reckon I'm haunting the internet.
