Here's my pathetic effort...



It only took me half an hour to untangle the lights from last year.
By my counting, there's about 5 billion baubles on it.
The blue leds have pretty much burnt the backs of my eyeballs out.

 

Electric lights on a christmas tree ... Blasphemy.

 

As far as I can see that is a plastic tree. Double blasphemy?

We don't usually put ours up untill the weekend before, .

 

Too early have to stick to the rule 12 days before and 12 days after Christmas

 

Blasphemy! Blasphemy! They've all got it ...er.. Blasphemy!
I can't have a real one as the dog would probably kill itself trying to eat the needles. And what lights should I have as opposed to electric ones? I don't think I'd enjoy cleaning up all the wax if there were candles all over the shop.
I put mine up on December 1st and it comes down on the 12th day of Christmas.

 

We're not having a tree this year, the kitten is likely to bring it to the floor more times than i can count. Any decorations are staying over head (that's when i'm standing up) height.

I really don't care about Christmas anymore, a 2 foot artificial tree on the coffee table would suit me fine.

However... it's the girlfriend and my first christmas together and she still get's so excited about it all it's untrue!. So far i've shelled out around £100 on a real tree, lights and decorations, rearranged the whole living room to accommodate an enormous tree that looks plainly ridiculous in the space we have. The 200 lights we bought aren't enough for the damn thing and they kick out barely any light. I wasn't allowed to buy LEDs.

Admittedly, the girlfiend has made a good job of decorating it. I just have to spend all my time picking up the pine needles that fall off every time I try to walk past it!

 

Mine will go up at 23:59.59 on 24/12 and be taken down at 00:00.01 on 25/12.

My mum's birthday in the 16th so we usually don't put ours up until the 19th-20th

 

I have no tree, Student accomodation doesn't have the room. That and we are not allowed christmas lights as they could be a fire risk.
