Ok brahs. I canceled my order. Now can you guys help me get everything ? like from the last screw, case and cable. to the cpu and gpu. I know **** about buying in parts sepratley. Please help me. together we can build an amazing machine. im from bristol too so people could help me put it together too ? where should i buy my parts etc ?
you need to give some details budget and what the main purpose will be are good places to start for parts in the uk, generally scan are your best bet, rarely beaten on price. as far as my own experiences go anyway
I like keep em flowing. ditch the speakers keyboard and mouse. i want all my money on the system spec.some one said i7 ? Im open for offers ? And once i have all thease parts anyone willing to come to weston to help me assemble ?
Budget is 1300 pounds. Leaving 50 quid to pay some one to put all the **** together. I want a fast mother ****er. sli or crossfire. Just a decent spec i can go out and by mouse speakers and keyboard later. I7 u recommended right ????????
You've got to learn one day, all the components come with instructions. very easy to follow guides, if you cock up its because you didn't pay attention to the guide.
But how about voltages etc ?????? and when you buy a hard drive they dont come with the cables you need do they ? I7 and ram ? is that all just plug in and play or do i have to set voltages ? etc ?
voltages will be automatically set, its all plug and play. With the motherboard you will be supplied SATA and IDE cables, with the power supply you will have all the power cables required.
Try BiT's recommend spec - http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/buyers-guide/2009/08/11/what-hardware-should-i-buy-august-2009/3 Add on a decent (spend £50 for a set) keyboard and mouse (logitech I prefer, there's been a couple of keyboard/mouse threads recently though) and check the recent monitor reviews in the cpc mag or the bit website
The cables come with the motherboard and power supply. The AMD system recommended above can only support CrossFire. Overclocking, try this: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cpus/2009/05/11/overclocking-amd-s-phenom-ii-x3-720-be/2
All plug in nowadays, unless you start to overclock. I built my first PC earlier this year, having never done anything like this before, and it was a piece of cake. Just look around on the internet for what to do if you want to get a little more confidence before you build it.
I'm in Bristol ... but bearing in mind I managed to build my first PC at 13, which was 13 years ago now (I'm 26 for the sharp ones among you) they were a LOT more difficult to build and understand. Lots of fiddly jumpers for clock settings. These days you just plug it all in and it works. You lot dunno you're born!
generally speaking, everything comes with the cables necessary, ive never had to purchase seperate cables unless your overclocking you will not touch voltages at all as someone above said, guides will come with every part, and to be honest most of it if not all is plug and play the list above looks like a very good system for the price ifyou wanted to go for an i7 system, you would just need to change up the motherboard and cpu i would go for the i7 920 as its probably the only version you could fit within your budget, although i wouldnt be disheartened by this as its still a very powerful cpu in my opinion, the amd phenom 2 x4 955 / 965 would be a better choice in terms of price, it also is pretty much the same, or in some reviews seems to provide even better performance results than the i7 920, i would read some reviews before making your decision

Try an 850W PSU. The beQuiet! is meant to be very good. For case, try an Antec 300, it will give you much better airflow, as i7s and ATi GPUs get hot. Also, maybe and Asus P6T Deluxe V2 mobo would be better value. Other than that, looks good.
