    Anyone know where to get a fairly decient set of metal files in the US for a fair price?

    Just go to your local Home Depot and get some buck files.

    any good tool store should have them... but i can only suggest canadian stores (maybe they have states side stores too)

    house of tools
    home depot (and other large chain stores)
    ..auto tool + finishing stores
    .. any metal machining supply stores (maybe)

    just hunt for them... it CAN"T take you longer than a week to find what you want and at a good (relevant) price

    needle files - radio shack
    regular file - home depot

    Might I also suguest Sears. I got a set of Craftsman Needle files guaranteed for life!

    Harbour Freight.

    I got a 10 pack of various needle files for $4.50 or so.
