hey im looking for these articles: http://www.bit-tech.net/article/82/1 http://www.bit-tech.net/article/83/1 i know there are like 1000 articles, to get ported , but those two are two of the best and my favorite. unfortunately, now that i am finally ready to utilize them then they are gone. so, when are they coming? and is it possible to have someone email the archived pages to me? i really think that the HDD/Knight rider mod is one of the coolest and the tutorial is sweet. hope it comes back soon thanks theo
http://web.archive.org/web/20020628135802/www.bit-tech.net/article/82/ no pics however, and you'll need to manually change the url for the next page edit: hmm, most pics are still there, which is nice.
thanks! i got most of the pics and all the cicuit diagrams for the PCBs (what i really needed). i couldnt find anything past the second page for the second article (HDD activity meter), but luckily the diagram i needed was at the end of the second page. thanks again -theo!
That's the nature of the internet. Hard drive space is cheap, always copy anything that takes your interest whilst it's still there... The Wayback Machine usually has several sets of pages, different sizes, different dates, so if you don't find all the graphics in one set, another might have them.
We're working on all of the old articles, but it takes time (there's 100s to be done) given all of the other stuff we're doing
Since you asked so nicely, I'll port those two for you right now matey. Old articles are being ported according to a prioritised list: those being missed the most getting ported first. The list is indeed long, and we need to keep the site ticking over with enough new content too... If anyone else has requests, please post them. For now, I'll get busy with these two
Article 83 is done: http://www.bit-tech.net/modding/2002/06/23/hdd_activity_meter/ Article 82 is 7 pages long, so is going to take me a little longer
http://www.bit-tech.net/modding/2002/06/23/knight_rider/ Let me know if I made any mistakes during the porting process. Otherwise it should be identical to before
the penultimate link on the last page of the linked article (http://www.bit-tech.net/modding/2002/06/23/hdd_activity_meter/3.html) points to an old URL. the last link points to an old thread in the forum, the first post of which has old URLs. Otherwise, looks good.
The way things are set up, the old URLs still work just fine, as long as the article has been ported. But thanks - I have updated the article links you suggested
I'd like to see the macroman cathode throbber ported, I like that one, it gives your standard CCFL setup a little more style
