Low polygon/texture budget, unwieldy menu system, grainy control system, missing content available as purchasable DLC... DLC as far as the eye can see.
Well now that pigs are flying in a frozen hell... I'll go with everyone else: Believe it when I see it, but I had a great WTF moment.
I have genuine faith this may happen. Why? Because this isn't 3D Realms any more. It's Gearbox, and it's with a publisher breathing down their throat. 2K Games have no reason to delay, all Gearbox are doing is throwing the pieces together and getting it out of the door. There's no question on whether it'll come out. The question is whether it'll be any good.
"The question is whether it'll be any good" After this lenght of time, this many false dawns and so many devs going at it from so many different angles, it would be incredible if did anything other than disappoint... and if turns out to be a console (Xbox) excluesive, words will just fail.
Just think of it as a game thats only been in development for the last 18 months or so, new studio and all that. Take it at face value .
I'll buy it!! I played the first Duke Nukem when I was 14 or something... it's a bad ass game And from what I've read on Kotaku, this game is still bad and evil (18+ game) All hail the King baby!!
"... It's the game it was meant to be", on a 360?! FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 'nuff sed.
This should be a PC exclusive. If they release DNF it better be good and there are hardly any console conversions that are acceptable.
What SHOULD happen is that Gearbox are playing a hilarious joke on us all by pretending to unveil DNF, and then become mysteriously quiet and defensive about it's release date for the next 12 years, fold the company before finishing and then hand development over to someone else.
In the live stream people were playing it, the 2k women said 'this is playing on pc using an xbox360 controller for windows'.
They'll release it at £50 but all the box will have in it will be a CD of the Duke rofling in your face for an hour.
God creates world: 6 days Jesus ressurects self: 3 days Duke Nukem Forever development cycle: 13 years. Tecnology: Making our lives easier and more convenient since never.
