Do you keep your PC on top of your desk/work area or on the floor? I moved my PC up onto my desk so I could get easier access to the USB and front audio on the front of my PC. It's a lot louder, and with the CD-drives being up higher it's harder to see if they have a disk in them or not (damn chair of mine doesn't stay up for very long, and I built my desk pretty high) and I have loaded two CDs in the same drive on more than one occasion. . . So where do you place your box? L J
Ive got 2 desks, one large one with my screens & stuff on, and a smaller lower one next to it which i keep both my PC,s on. Really handy for swapping CD,s ect.
Mac mini on the desk, all the others on the floor. Never ever had a PC on my desk (with exception to the mini) - seems like a waste of space to me?
On the carpet under the desk. I'd be scared of someone knocking them off the desk if I kept them on the desk. Vibrations are dampened on the floor better too.
I have a small table to the side of my desk, about half way down. It sits on that, so I guess it's neither I like it, you get all the easy access and desk space, and without kicking it every time you turn round.
On top, but when I get my new desk, which should be sooon I am plannign on having them on the floor and around the corner. A pain for chaning cd's. But should be nice a quite.
i used to keep it on my desk, but it's just too loud (enough to be irritaing atleast) now it's on a shelf under my desk (just got a new desk), but i have to move it a bit, as the cables are to short. i guess you can count me in on the floor.
Kinda on the floor, in that its in a little PC "cubby hole" area of my desk on the floor, but its actually on the base of the desk. Kinda hard to explain. It's quieter having it down there. The only disadvantage I've seen to having a PC on the floor is that it picks up more dust into the fans.
I have 2 under my desk and one on the desk, not enough room for all 3 on the desk at the moment, but getting a bigger desk in the next few weeks, so this could change.
