one leg gone

    Hi,

    wanna ask anyone out there faced this type of problem before?

    My friend hava a Pentium 4 1.8GHz (478)

    and accidentally droped it ouch :rolleyes:
    one of the legs broke.....the side of the procesor was not damage at all. could it be fix?

    doubt it...and im pretty sure every leg is there for a reason....

    :hehe: :hehe: :hehe: - but then again, what do you have to loose by trying... just laughing at the way flix phrased his response. I have bent legs back (back in the 486 days) but I have never replaced/repaired one that had been removed...

    wat u mean i phrased it...just being honest!!! :p

    but we shouldnt be laughing, this is a serious matter....only thing with trying it out is that you dont wanna risk hurting your other components...

    I agree! If it's still under warranty the may take it back, but other wise, I'm not sure I personally would risk trying it!

    hmmmmmm

    well it has warranty bought it last December........but i dont know weather the warranty does cover one leg broken?

    hmmm :rolleyes: i dont have to tell them :rolleyes:
