    Hey guys,

I'm setting up my new watercooling loop.
It contains a EK Supreme CPU block, one VGA water block and a RAM water block.
As a rad, I use a Phobya 1080 (Yep, overkill, I know, but I'm using an external rad anyway, so I have enough space). This external rad sits under the computer, that means all together the pump has about 1m height to push.
I have one Alphacool D5 here. Do you think I need to get another one?
Because I'm using a big ass radiator anyway, I don't need to worry about the water temperature anyway, but I'm afraid my flow rates will drop. Also, this build is meant to be silent, I actually don't know how much noise a D5 will produce at full speed...

    Thanks for the help!

It is a pretty decent pump and if you want your rig to be silent then the less noise sources the better. What is the id of your tubing because using narrrower tubing will increase the flow rate because of pressure which could help. Not very experienced with watercooling but that's just my opinion. :)

I'm using copper tubes with 10mm ID.

In which case you could try 8mm id tubing and get compatible fittings, it might raise the temps a few degrees but you have a massive radiator anyway.

The problem is if you go acrylic or copper tubing, you need the C47 fittings from bitspower. They are 12mm OD, and all tubes I found so far were therefore 10mm ID.

    8mm also looks a bit small ;)

I'm running a D5 with a double and a triple rad, CPU and SLI GPUs with no trouble at all. The temps I am getting with some serious overclocking are still brilliant.

Okay, so I guess one is fine.
What speed do you use (if yours has the little control feature)?

Yeah it's plenty, I think its on 3 or 4 at the moment. I have never had any reason to turn it up to 5 (max)
