Hi, I need to get a good online backup software for my Computer running windows 7. I need one with plenty storage space in order to store my data (photos, files, songs) in general a very good online data protection service.

I've been recommended to use Either Mozy, ZenOK or Carbonite. I would like to find the best

I'll appreciate your comments and suggestions

+1 to the HDD. Maybe even in a nice box in the shed.

Most people on this forum would recommend Acronis True Image (Home 2011 variant is usually best for home users) as a solid backup program. They offer a paid addon to enable Online Backup. £3.95 per month for 250GB.

Otherwise, for a more traditional 'home' backup, I'd recommend using Acronis True Image Home 2011 to back up daily to a local internal hard drive, then creating a weekly backup to an external hard drive which you then store off-site (at the office for example) in case your house blows up / floods / gets ransacked etc.

Just doing a similar search on the forums and thought I'd add this. Today mozy changed their plans - their previous $4.99 / month rate for unlimited backup has changed to $5.99 for up to 50GB and $9.99 for up to 125GB (and they throw in that this is for 3 computers, not that it's a difference to me) then $2 for an extra 20GB on either plan.

I used to recommend Mozy. But since they have changed their plans, I'm strongly considering switching to amazon S3. I've heard a lot of good things about it. It's a tad on the expensive side if your backing up a lot of data though.
