online halifax to halifax bank transfer, instant action?

    will doing a bank transfer online with the same bank. its to my own account, its to pay for goods.

    but would it be instant?

    Should be, its only with bank to bank transfers you get delays.

    Thats certainly what its like for me when i transfer from account to account with HSBC :)

    I believe that the UK is one of the few places in the world that bank to bank is not instant. Want to know why?? Guess who gets the interest from those 3 days. Put it this way, its not you! No wonder they wont change it!!

    Same here with Alliance & Leicester it goes over instantly, otherwise to another bank its 3-4 days.

    If its a Halifax to Halifax account it is instant, I use it with my friend sometimes if hes picking some computer gear up for me.
