    Hi,

quick question for anyone with computer/video game store experience.

Do you get supplies direct from the manufacturers or from a wholesale suppliers?

Just doing a bit of research for a future project.. i was kinda looking for
any info regarding best wholesale suppliers.. ro would it be better/cheapest
to go direct to manufacturers.. eg.. shuttle.. asus etc?

    thanks

The companies I use most are ebuyer, aria and scan.. ebuyer's technically a wholesaler I think, the other 2 are just cheap retailers.

yeah, must admit, i use ebuyer at the mo.. I was wondering where these
guys get their supplies from? must be direct from the manufacturers?
i was wondering if this is the case, does anyone have experience in dealing
    direct with manufactuers?

if so.. do you need to be vat registered.. do they have a minimum order abount... etc. stuff like that?

I think that as an individual you can buy direct from manufacturers, but there are a couple of problems:

1/ 90% of the manufacturers are based in china/japan/tiawan.

2/ They normally sell pruducts by the 'standard shipping "unit"' - you know those massive crates they have at ports, that also fit on the back of lorries? ... yeah ;)

just stick with ebuyer. If it was easy to get stuff cheaper, surely everyone would do it the other way?
