Got one for pulling off with my left indicator still on ! 2 for straying into cycle lanes. 1 for "excessive steering" while bay parking. and 1 for being too wide of the kerb when reversing round a corner.

I got a 95 out of 100 on the first try b/c I did the entire test with one hand...

...but I grew up driving so it's not like I didn't know what I was doing. My tester was a dick anyways :hehe:

That would have been a fail and a clip around your head.

In the USA do you take your test in an automatic?

autos are soo much easier to drive. I bet its like the uk test if you have the test in an auto you cant drive a manual but with a manual license you can drive an auto.

    manuals aren't hard to drive
i found after a few hours you dont even think about changing gear, you just do it automatically

How did you only get a minor for this?

You get 2 or 3 chances to read the number plate, if you still get it wrong you get a (Serious) Fail.

I had to read a second number plate. Mainly because the one I was asked to read even the examiner couldnt work out what the last letter was supposed to be. I said "D" he thought "O".

Autos are boring, you don't get the revs you want to hear, and whilst driving all you have to do is sit, brake, accelerate and steer, whilst with the manual gear changes, you do stuff all the time, so its more exciting imo, and you get the thrill of stalling! :hehe:

I agree. I think I would get very bored, very quickly if I had an automatic.

On my first road test I got all 3. :wallbash: A n00b hit me from behind while at a stop sign, so that pushed me a little past the line and into a dude walking by. :wallbash:

Lmao! Surely there wasn't anything you could have done to prevent that? Therefore not your fault?
