oooh just found myself my old laser pen... now... mod it!!! how the heck am i supposed to rig this up to a molex,, and also,, what to do with it??? i thought some kind of hologram on top or inside of the case would be wicked
holorgram? isn't that those 3D pictures? if you mean to get the laser to "draw" a picture you'll need some motors and mirrors... *gets idea for softwarecontrolled laser* you know... make a simple picture on the comp. and make the laser draw it on the wall... that would have been cool!
nah i mean a 3d holographic image as in you know they have a little person walking around etc i read somewhere how to do that with a laser pointer.... if only i could find it Now google my good friend!!
yep something like that but the Liti Holographics on the other hand could make for an interesting case mod
OOOOoooooo...... I gotta few laser pointers that I only use to watch the dog chase... Gonna have to read up more on this...
ok i have just had an idea for a big M floating in mid air made out of laser light will take a bit of thinking through but will come back when i have more details... clue... the idea is taken from resin CAM molding
ok the plan is this using 65 of these babies from maplin AQ27E 3mW 650nm Laser Diode this is what would happen you get a full on screen hanging in the middle of the air thanks to the LEDs and as long as there are no obstructions it can be as far away from the original transmitters as you like, you could have one lot in one wall of a room, the others in the other, and the screen hanging in the centre of the room!!! this is Very Copyright to malcs anyone want to buy one?
Hmm now lets see, AQ27E diodes, that about £29.99 each, now take 65 of those and £30x65 is I'll give you a tenner for one
hmm.. i have read a bit on the hologram site.. but i still can't figure out how he actually made the holograms.. and what is that malcs is talking about? am i stupid or something??
Are you getting confused between a hologram and simply drawing an image with a laser? You can create holograms with laser pointers on holographic plates and films (I know beacuse I did a project on it at Uni), silver foil holograms are totally different. Moving laser images you see in clubs are simply drawn by a fast moving laser, mirror lens set-up.
