Hullo all As per the title really; I'm looking for an open source (or free) non-linear video editing package for Windows. I already dual boot Ubuntu Studio which comes with OpenShot; to be honest it does pretty much what I need, but I'd prefer something that's based in Windows. Having to reboot to Linux to to do editing when all the recording is done in Windows is a bit of a PITA. I tried Lightworks, but I couldn't get it to recognise the video format I was importing; which was daft, because it's uncompressed video (recorded with FRAPS) and there's no point compressing it into a different format if I'm going to have to render the video again when I finish editing. I might give Lightworks another shot though. I'm aware of Blender's built in video sequence editor, but Blender scares me... Short of forking out money I don't have for something like Adobe Premiere or Sony Vegas, or using what I've got now, anyone got any other suggestions? And by that I don't mean Windows Live Movie Maker...
I've not tried either of these so can't say what their like but If this one "VideoLAN Movie Creator" is as good as VLC player Also "Videopad"
