Guys a friends of mine bought one of these the other day and i must admit i really like the idea as my family often watches TV downstairs and do not have a PC in the living room so only get sky or play films etc via DVD and always say "oh i'd like to watch that" to something i have downloaded. But i'm never been bothered to burn it everytime to DVD.

Just want to see what you guys think hardware/software wizes or if any of you have any comment or experience with these.I think price is not the best but i seen them for £80 on play.com i mean its annoying having to move it about but cheaper then a HTPC plus 1080P playback great, all you need to do is transfer the films series from your PC to the Drive like a normal USB External and the hook it up to your TV and use the remote to browse etc.

I have the WDTV Live model and absolutely love it.

I store all my media on my home server and just stream to it and have no problems, they recently added spotify streaming to the firmware as well.

Krishan How do you stream to it is it connect to a PC?

Also what size is yours as the site seem to not mention it, do they vary and any comments negative or positive.

It has an ethernet connector on the rear. I just connect it to my network and it picks up network shares be it from windows7, tversty media server, ps3media server, Xbmc or windows home server.

It doesn't have an internal hdd hut the wdtv live hub (another model) has a 1tb hdd built in to store files.

    Hope this helps.
