very good idea ! I will change my 'blackmesa mod' wallpaper for a 'Orac3' !
Australians all let us rejoice,
for we have Orac3...
its just so damn beautiful....
Actually, I think it was you. You were very close and definitely spotted the significance of that pic all those months ago. I take my hat off to you Vcdman. Well done.
G-nome your work amazes me. It makes me really want to get into some serious modding, but then on the other hand I know I'm not worthy. The look of the box is awesome, I can't wait to see what you do next!!!!! And I'd also love to see what you did or are going to do with Monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers. I'm sure whatever you do will ROCK
You are Awesome!!!!
G-Gnome, do you have any pictures of the rear of the case?
Looks like this has filtered through to oc.com
Enough pictures G-gnome. You have to make a movie about the Orac³.
OMG ,this is just the best thing ever , absolutley amazing work , I'm still trying to lift my jaw of the floor , 100/10
The Ultimate Mod
Well all I can say is well done G-gnome.
This is the best mod I've ever seen and has been truly inspirational to me.
I'm going to work alot to get anywhere near half as good as you did.
Keep up the awesome modding.
What? No night shoot? And I was hoping to see some matrix orbital in action! and what does the buttons do? I have seen the tiltes "power" and "reset" and an USB symbole, but I have no guess for the rest. Well, to make short: more shoot, more picture, I haven't seen enough of this computer!! Anyway, congratulation, it really look brainy and beautifull (No, I'm not a psicho who open head to look at the lovely brains inside, not anymore at least). well, if I could give advice, I would have added some chains of leds so you can see "electrical" informations "circulating" in the "brain". But I'm not sur to know how I'd have done that.
My congradulations on the end of this arduous project - very inspiring to everyone who has been watching you deal with various conflicts during construction; even people who don't know what modding is like the aesthestics of your project.
I guess... time for a new one!
In all my years of computing (apx. 25), I have NEVER seen such a cool case. Congratulations on it's nearing completion.
Would you consider selling it? If not, would you consider building one on contract?
Please let me know via email.
one other thing i noticed you mentioned in teha rticle G-Gnome, did you get all 1/2 barbs on all your waterblocks and then use small pieces of 3/8 tubing and then use adapters that converted it to the bigger 1/2" tubing i dont udnerstand why you would do this?
Well, along with everyone else, I feel that this is probably currently the best known mod on the planet. Absolutly stunning, everything came together so well to put off a great show.
Now, I have a perfectly serious question. Is that artwork ever going to leave the house? I mean, wow, it would be awsome to take it to a few large LAN parties for a show case. Plenty of people would just love to see it in person, myself included. Even computer shows. That case represents the very essence of modding. No manufacturer could profitably reproduce such work.
For impressing and inspiring modders all over the world, I salute you. For completing ORAC and staying true to your goals without compramise, I congradulate you. And for showing that it hasn't all been done and the modding simply has no ends or limits, I thank you.
Absolutely Stunning Man!
Ive been following this fantastic mod from Day 1, and checking on a weekly basis for your final update.
Great to see its finally finished!
I've been waiting for this for a long time!
all i can say is, better go back to the drawing board on the cable management what a horrible mess, severly detracts from the overall look.
Well I think it adds to the overall appeal of the case and fits his theme that he chose.
Don't you love one post wonders.
Bring on the AVI i say
