There's no hack or any other workaround involved to circumvent the MacOSX-copy-protection with EFI-X. No kernel-extension etc needed. The EFI-X isn't just a USB-Stick with software, it's a small processing-unit actually, that works like a hardware-EFI itself. This makes it possible to use an original version of MacOSX instead of a hacked MacOSX-image. The EFI-X even makes it possible to use the update-function of MacOSX, which all of the other available options don't provide, due to their needed hacks and extensions. Suspend-to-RAM does work aswell, which isn't available with a "hackintosh". And the list goes on. And last but not least... there's no laws broken, if you use the EFI-X. It's 100% legal and you get even support from ASEM, if you run into troubles. Not to forget about the 3 years warranty for the product.
Perhaps we should start a separate discussion on the EFIX module? When it comes to EFI, I generally do know my way around it (search the forums). Lets not let this small piece of the build of tech detract from the well built mod Stealth has created.
Any details of the power switch? I'm looking at putting a mini itx pc into an xbox case, since i have it spare, and its cheaper than a new box. Thanks

No clue. I badly need one and cant find one anywhere. Those pcbs would have been a way to get things done...
This is a really nice and well executed project, and I don't mean to derail the thread at all, but I was under the assumption from something that I've read here before that console modifications were against bit-tech forum rules. Am I wrong about this? I'd appreciate some input from a moderator on this, as I occasionally perform console mods myself and would love to be able to post them for people to see.
As far as i know the only thing banned here is the discussion/modding of consoles to allow pirated/homebrew software to be run on it. Physical mods are fine, This is mearly an Xbox shell being used to house a PC which is fine.
