Apple OSX 10.0.4 software?

    is it me or is there very little software out for this version ?? everything i want is only suported on the older versions. anybody know any good free software for it ?? i can t even get AIM or Firefox on my new mac machine

    erm.....i suggest finding an upgrade to at least panther (10.3)...


    10.0 didnt last long at all. became 10.1 very quickly.

    indeed any software out now, should be compatible with 10.0.4...

    unless you mean 10.4.x (which X is 7 at the moment)... in which case there's still plenty of software out, but not everything in universal yet, so it'll run in ppc mode

    Most software tends to require 10.2 or 10.3, you'll be hard pushed to find anything new that supports 10.0.X - unless you can find old versions of programs being developed.

    This thread confuses me.

    Do you mean 10.4.7 or 10.0.4?

    And yes, there is a VERY BIG DIFFERENCE between those two numbers!

    Ah.

    Software doesn't usually support anything lower than 10.3.x now, because there were technologies invented in 10.2+ that newer programs require, like core image for a start (New in 10.4 iirc).
