Just about a year has passed, not much has changed and I've pretty much decided to give up with the school and try something else. Some huge changes would have to happen for me to even in theory pass the courses, so why bother teasing myself any longer. I'll probably stay in the school until February as I already have secured the student allowance (?) till then, but after that it's off and to unemployment and hopefully some job. Just thought I'd update this thread.
That's what I did, although I left well before the end of the year and still got my grant Trick is to take a while and figure out what you enjoy in life, then get accredited in that (if you need to). Make work fun, it stops being work.
Yea I've figured I'm just wasting my (limited) grant months and months at the uni right now. Might as well try something else. It's not really the end of the world or necessary the end of dreams of some education, but heck, right now it still does feel like a biggie.
Maybe try a tech course or something else more practically oriented? Don't feel bad about it, it's only a little time and money in the grand scheme of things, no point wasting even more on something you don't love doing. Plus knowing what you really don't like/want makes you appreciate it all the more when you find something you do.
I agree with October - do something else but don't give up on education just yet. It gets harder later on. Also, sometimes you just have to suck it up and get s*it done. It took getting kicked out of Uni twice for me to realize that bad motivation aside, I really do want an education, so I'm doing as many things as I can, as well as I can. That way, if I find something I like (I think I have), I'll stick with it.
