I'm staying at the Old Black Horse inn or something and the areas nice, i've been to carfax or something were all the main shops in the city centre are. I've come by myself and have lodas of time to spare, so...anyone?
Go to the pubs in jericho or wolvercote for a good time, best pint of guinness is at the black swan just off the cowley road.
want a random guinness fact guinness is the same all over the world as it is in ireland, it is imported from ireland so it is the same stuff, what makes it nicer in ireland is that we have dedicated service engineers that travel country and the pumps are cleaned every week
Well, i'm now with a mate of mnie and just looking around just wnodering if there are any interesting places to visit, no not libraries and borin things like that, clubs , pubs anything exciting note em down
there's not much open or interesting during the evenings as terms of clubs... as us student types have finished for the year. No point mentioning the purple turtle unless you have an NUS card. be sure to have a pint in st. aldates tavern
I just enjoy drinking there but nothing beats drinking from the gravity bar at st james's gate. If you go clubbing make sure you don't end up in 5th Avenue or DTM...............
Not all of it, theres other breweries, think theres one in India, South Africa and probably one in the US somewhere.
Certainly with the international ones they ship the unfermented Guinness extract in pellet form which is then combined with the local liquor (water used for brewing). This will invariable add its own local character to the resultant pint, especially if they "Burtonise" the liquor as well. Lets not underestimate how well a beer "travels" either. Yes, I am a member of Campaign for Real Ales. What? stop looking at me like that.....
DTM? Dont tell me its a gay bar! We got one a gay bar in helsinki which is called DTM "Dont tell momma"
If you're looking for a nice Chinese (meal) I recommend EAMAYL (eat as much as you like). Does what it says on the tin and it's pretty cheap. It's somewhere near the train station and the river.
zodiac is open all year round and eamayl is on parkend street across from the club with the same name.
Shame your only there for a few days.. I'll be there in about 10 days.. we could have got lost together! Just what England needs - lost bit-tech tourists. I'll be in Hong Kong for 12 hours Sunday week - I don't suppose you've got any ideas on how I fill in that time? (sorry, didn't mean to hijack)
lol i haven't been there there for 7 years so sorry for that. Should be interesting if its going to reopen as a Carling Academy...............................
