cripes, how the heck did he manage that..... did he turn like 5 metres early to the corner or what...
By the looks of things, he wasn't the first person to do that... ...The entrance to the corner is off camber. If he approached it under heavy braking, the rear end would have been light. a little too much throttle or a little unsteadiness in the car would have sent him spinning into the infield like that... *n
My guess is he came over the ridge too fast, saw the hairpin U-turn and hit the brakes and stayed on the brakes while he tried to turn causing the back-end to whip around on him. Shoulda tapped the gas.....oh snap!
Its a silly race track anyway becuase why is there grass and then a concrete fence, there should be graval or sand then tyres or hay bails... Thats such a shame
Lol... I bet he finds it difficult to get insurance ever again Those pictures brought a tear to my eye, such a beautiful car
If you drive your nice expencive rare car at the track then it is common sence to have propoer track day insurance. Regular road insurance does not cover you racing and you would not be able to make a claim. Drive an expencive car on the track uninsured and you just asking for trouble, many people *think* they can race around a track like a proper race driver, the real truth is they often can't. The main problem is that nice cars like that are often rare/hard to find, so even if you do get good insurance money, you may not be able to find one that is a good condition replecement.
