Has anybody had any experience with setting up outlook anywhere?

I've got a Small Business 2008 server with exchange 2007 and i'm trying to connect remotely with Outlook 2007 on windows 7.

Exchange is all working and I can access it through the remote web no worries but outlook does not want to connect. It seems to be an issue with the SSL cert as it is self issued on the exchange server.

Is there a way to force Windows 7/Outlook to accept the certificate even though it's not from a valid certificate authority?

    Cheers in advance,
    David

I had the same issue with a similar setup and the end result was a new SSL certificate which cost around £100.

If you're using Exchange 2007 you need a UCC cert unless you want hassle messing around with Exchange powershell sorting out the certs.

I've read about it, not really worth it for the number of people that want to be able to use it.

Currently I have outlook web setup but would be much better to be able to use the full function of outlook. Haven't received the Cert yet but hopefully that will fix it.
