Overclocking Overclock temps.

    What are the idle temps like? if they're ok it's probably the fans like you say. I not try the usual reseating etc.

    Idle is about 40*C, which I don't think is too bad. Tried reseating it a few times, same temps. I reckon it is just the weak ass fans that are the issue.

    Currently stress testing mine at 4.8GHz, 1.3 Vcore, temps at 70C peak.

    Comes down to what you stress test with as well. With Prime mine peaks at 74C intel burn test at about 65C. I've never seen it go above 70C in general use and this is at 1.39V and 4.5Ghz.

    Thats not to bad for what is a pretty high overclock. Like you say probably the fans. When i put some decent fans on my H50 in push/pull config peak temps dropped by 10-12 degrees.

    Cool, chip can go higher. Looking to get an H50/70 and do the res mod to it.. Although I'll try some new fans first.
