Meh, that's fine, I just want a pair of GX2s, you can keep the 8800s

Of course, it may come down to new video cards or trip to Europe....

    Hmmm

Expensive, but not surprising given the trend of increasing hardware prices with each new generation in recent years.

Still, performance will be the key. Even if it is pricy, if a single 8800GTX outperforms, say, 7900GTX SLI, 7950GX2 quad SLI or X1950XTX Crossfire, then it will probably be worth the money. ;)

Ok if 7950GX2=Dodge Viper than 8800GTX=...?

Oh, and does the NDA on 680i lift next week also?

Bit-tech should already have one... but the usualy NDA will apply. Some benchmarks have already been done and have shown about 13k in 3dmark06 aslong as the CPU is running at crazy speeds to remove it as a bottle neak. Fast card. But not worth the money unless you have alot of money and relativly speaking £650 is lose change.

I'm less interested in "worth the money" and little things like value. I'm a lot more interested in the technology itself and how ass-kickingly awsesome it is. Even though I could never afford it :)

Let's see what ATI has up their new green sweater's (AMD, get it? Eh?) sleeves. I think jumping on something is stupid because there's no garuntee it won't be trumped by the magical ace-up-the-sleeve each company has because they're magic (or something like that).

I smell mind-blowing benchmarks and a kick-ass report very soon.

Ah, I love the smell of fresh hardware in the morning...
