    You mean that the 8800GTS will be more expensive than 7950GX2 while having 300mhz less memory clock,50mhz less core clock and 7950X2 having 384mb more memory size?

    Will the 8800GTS perform better or 7950X2 will be over it?I guess 8800GTX is too pricey for me but my thought is that the 8800GTS price will go lower as its a new card.
    This means in one month 8800GTS will be cheaper than 7950GX2 - why shall i expect to be better?
    Can somebody verify my thoughts.

    Mabey they made it slightly more efficient per clock cycle. :idea: But its probably just that its brand new.

    Um, it doesnt work like that.

    For starters the GX2s memory is mirrored between cards as in SLI, so it's only 512me and it has a smaller memory bus as well. Other things are also different.

    The core is also a complete overhaul, you can't compare prices between them as they are in completely different leagues. Its like comparing an Aston Martin to a Ford.
