Overclocking Overclocking HD5770

Anyone got one that they have overclocked? If so what did you get it too?

Just a general wonderence to see where i might be able to get mine to

 

have you tried using the catalyst auto utility or riva tuner?

 

Using ATI Overdrive:

Dunn if it is good or not but its stable, the fans is a little loud though

 

It maxes out in overdrive (well the gpu does, i got bord of waiting for the memory to slowly bench) so i was wondering about out of overdrive?

 

Unless you are using water cooling to keep those temps down I would not bother overclocking, as it don't give you that much of an improvement. 1-2fps. Hardly worth burning out your card for.

I've got mine stable at 900gpu and 1300 for the memory, my rooms just a little hot at the moment, I had it downstairs where its probably around 10 degrees c colder and I had it running stable at 1ghz on the gpu and 1300 on the memory.

note: I adjusted the voltage a bit to get it to run at 1ghz.

 

Aha very helpful, what program did you use to adjust the voltage? (not that i would sounds risky, but out of interest)

 

Download MSI Afterburner, edit the config file from... EnableUnofficialOverclocking = 0 to =1

I've overvolted mine to 1.3v and have currently got gpu clock at 1ghz and memory clock at 1450mhz, 3 runs of crysis benchmark on very high, max temp 63 degrees, with stock cooler
