    zomg revival...

Totally unoptimised run (heh the time is total crap for that clock speed :p, should do 28..) ...etc... Going to do a few overnight burn-ins before i try higher volts ;)

is the 745 not a 400fsb chip, and would a 533 not give you more potential?

how do we know the super-pi works properly? Theres this program - i think its called pi-fast or something... works out pi to whatever number of decimal places (1 million) in a split second :/

Its a 750, just too lazy to update the bench install to a newer version lol!

As long as everyone uses the same app to measure pi (in this case superpi mod 1.4) then its a fair test, whether it takes 2 secs or 400 secs...

quite tempted now to test my 740 with my bh5 now, as the crucial i run in there day in day out does not appreciate high fsbs...but i take it its a vmod to get the volts up that high on the ram??

If you're willing to run your 3.3v line at ~ 3.8v yes ;)
Use a DDR booster to run high vDimm, they work fine on the P4C and should give up to 4v....

    Epox 8rda3+
1 Gb Corsair xms DDR4000 PRO

44 seconds to a million, i once saw a 41-42 but it fell over a it involved abit of a cool down before starting poor thing.

just what I have so far without any volt mods, the ram is Corsair Value Select so it can only go up to about 225MHz and about 220MHz stabile

*sry bout the image the specs are AMD Athlon 64+ Venice at 2.2ghz 231.6 x 9.5
and the best time is 39.953

would i need to increase cpu volt or memory volt?

Put your memory on a divider if it limiting you, 166 should do, or 183 if your motherboard has the option. There is no performance hit using a divider on Athlon64 systems - since due to the architecture, your memory is always running on a divider, even "1:1" is a divider. You should be able to get to 2.4ghz without having to increase any voltages, just puting your ram on a divider :)

Have to ask, whats the main factor that decides the time this things going to take? Got an Opteron 146, Asus' brand new board, and two seperate lots of 512MB BH-5, if lots of ram isn't needed, some serious clocking could be in order :D

Raw CPU speed and lots of memory bandwidth. Seems to prefer tighter timings, but if you're TCCD for example just shoot for FSB. 1gb is worth ~ 0.1-0.3 sec over 2*256 at the same timings

Got BH-5,just get myself a booster, get myself some neat memory active cooling, scoot up to 3.5 or thereabouts, and it'll be 2.2.2.5 and nothing more higher :D

I think water cooling shall be required, I'm all of a sudden seriously driven to get this thing to 3.2Ghz
