    Hi,

I have a pair of 9800gt in sli. I've been trying to overclock them a bit today and when I push higher than 700/1780 they freeze in 3dmark vantage.

I think they might need a little more juice. I've been looking round and I can't seem to find anything to overvolt my cards. I tried NiBitor, but it doesn't detect my cards.

Any advice you guys could throw at me would be really appreciated.
    Thnx.

The only way that you are going to be able to do this is with a voltmod. The only 9800GT that had voltage adjustment via software was the Gigabyte model. If you're confident with a soldering iron, a quick peak on XtremeSystems will help you. However, I'd say that overall, it's not worth the hassle (and risk if you aren't confident with it). If you're wanting more gaming performance, you aren't really going to get a lot from voltmodding and overclocking further; your best bet is to buy a new graphics setup.

If you're going for benchies though, XS is your friend as said before :)

MSI Afterburner? Doesn't that unlock any voltage tweeks?

The card's VRM's have to support software voltage control for this to work. So it doesn't work on all cards.

Yeah I confirm that, afterburner has the option locked out when I try.

    Ah well...
