Just a random idea I had - didn't come out quite as I wanted to but still. C&C very much appreciated :thumb:

Looks great, however, you need to closer and angle the lens upwards giving a "rising to heaven" effect.

I have done it with a 18-55 kit lens on a 350d, but it's a damn sight easier with a 10-22 due to the natural curved nature it has.

How about turning off the lights, setting a long exposure, tying LEDs to your shoes and running up the stairs?

    Love the idea.
Any reason you have so many pairs of the same trainers?

I love it! The colours of the trainers set it off really nicely.

Just what I was gonna ask :p

Nice pic but I think it lacks something, perhaps what Bindi suggested with the "stairway to heaven" idea. The chip on the handrail post is a bit eye-catching so I think you might want to paint that?

Haha I was going to suggest that. Clean up! Or you could just photoshop the dust and dirt out.

Is it the same pair, just the colours changed in PS?

Ace idea and pretty well executed. Looks like just one pair of shoes to me, with multiple exposures and a different hue on each one?

    Thanks for all the comments.

I did consider hoovering beforehand, but I decided I couldn't be bothered. I actually cloned out a lot of dirt :worried: I also decided I quite liked the chip in the paint on the banister, so I left it.

As for the shoes, I have them in red, blue and green. Just because I'm a bit of a trainer whore, haha. So my initial idea was to use all different pairs. But when I thought about it, I decided it would be easier to just use one pair and photoshop the colours. This actually turned out to be a bit of a pain but that's what I did (so well done Ajack and identikit).

Bindi: I actually did a lower-down 'looking up to heaven' angle first, but you couldn't really see the shoes properly unfortunately.

Similarly, I had thought about using a long exposure in the dark and highlighting the shoes individually, but I couldn't get it to look good at all.
