Motherboards P35 Diamond and 285 GTX?

    you'll be fine with your current motherboard, only thing to watch out for is that the nvidia GTX285 among other GTX2xx series cards require the new 8 pin PCI-E power connector.

    Wow, thanks for the quick answers, good to hear i don't have to replace my motherboard :)

    Also, i just checked and I have a 8pin connector from my power, so i should be fine with that.

    Dont confuse an 8 pin motherboard connector with the new 8 pin PCI-E connector

    look at the image carefully, and you can see a difference

    I thought PCI-E 8-pin and EPS 8-pin had different moldings on the pins? Of course, I suppose it's easy to go "why won't this go on?!" force it, and then have whole new worlds of fun.

    And toasted electronics. ;)

    nvidia 285 only has 2 6pin power conectors not an 6 and 8..

    For some reason that image from a few posts up dosen't seem to work, so i don't get the difference between the pins yet.

    However, for my 285gtx, I'm planning to get a OCZ Stealth XStream 600W PSU (http://www.technooutlet.com/eflte2680.html)
