    Hi all

thinking of saving for a new X800XT but am wandering whether or not my CPU would be throttling it. Should I wait and get PCI-express sys together, wait for the new ATI chip expected before summer? - questions, questions!

    many thanks to all.

It may hold the card back slightly, but it would still be a very fast combo.

umm looking at your specs it says you have a 3.2 @ 3.6 ghz which is plenty fine. Sure you can probably get 2-5% more if you swicth to a athlon system or a higher speced p4, but its really not gonna be worth your money.

    I have a 3.2C chip with a x800 xt pe and it runs really nice, 13000 on 3dmark03 and 5767 on 3dmark 05
