Hey Guys, I have a problem starting my computer up. It goes to the BSOD saying Page_Faulted_In_NonPage_Area and then it quickly reboots again. I dont even have time to read the complete message so I do not know the 0x00... error. It keeps rebooting and rebooting until I just turn the computer off. I can not get into Windows by any methods, whether I restart with the last properly working settings, safe mode, etc.. Here is the info I get when I press F2 during startup... Bios Version RG84510A.86a.0033.p17 Windows XP Intel Pentium 4 2.40 GHz Bus Speed 533 MHz Mem Speed 333 MHz Cache Ram 512 KB Total Memory 255 MB Memory Bank 0 - 256 MB Memory Bank 1 - Not Installed I am decent with computers but I am no expert. Can anyone help me out ? Thanks in advance, Kevin
u can turn off the auto resart on BSODs. RMB mycomputer > click properties > click on advanced tab > click settings on start up and recovery > toggle off auto restart
This is usually a RAM issue. Swap the ram card out if you have a spare one and see if that makes a difference. Google is an excellent friend when you know the error message.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms793437.aspx Indeed sound like busted memory. Try downloading MemTest and burning it on a CD and running it (burn using ImgBurn, choose "burn image to disc" in the menu). Tell us if you get errors.
How can I turn of autostart ot run memtest if I can not get into windows? heres what happens : I start up the computer, it says windows loading, then it goes right to the blue screen. After the blue screen, it completely restarts again and goes to windows loading, then on to the blue screen for a second, then restarts again...etc etc etc... the only option I can do is hold f2 when the computer initially starts up, and it gets me to the setup screen where I have no clue what I am doing so I havent touched a thing there...
I'd say it sounds like a driver issue. I find it odd, though, that you cannot even boot into Safe mode. Did you try the VGA Only mode? Did you upgrade the BIOS recently, by the way?
if u cant boot into safe mode your left with 2 options faulty hardware or some windows file is corrupt
