would the 'cube illusion' be in those exact colours?? whatever rings your bell i guess but i think that you should definately spray the case black first as you can always decide later to leave it black :) and also beige lines??? tch...

Black lines looks best, but I think maybe shades of dark grey for the cube faces? Or perhaps just 3 different levels of gloss over the black? :naughty:

I think the black lines look better aesthetically, _BUT_ the black lines ruin the illusion for me. When I look at the white line version, I can see the cubes in their various different directions as in the original illusion - when I look at the black line version I don't see the other directions as easily... it may be because the black makes the blue so much stronger.

i like the black ones ... but you should make the cubes green/blue/purple so it looks more q-bert-y.

ya im so old my first console was a ColecoVision and the only games i owned were Q-bert and Zaxxon.

The example with the black lines looks a lot better because the whole design is properly segmented there. However, it's not particually nice to look at IMHO. Why not go for a more pastel aproach? Perhaps a mottling with the colours? Get a marble effect going throughout something like that just to that the edge off it.

The black lines, as mentioned, ruin the illusion. You should have something lighter. It doesn't have to be beige, it can be white or grey.

I like the idea of all black, but with different levels of gloss for the parts of the square. That'd be the only way it wouldn't look gaudy as hell.
