Planning Painting PSU connectors?

    Hi, guys i plan to made some custom sleeving for my modular PSU. But all the connectors are white. Will it be a good idea to paint it black with regular spray paint for plasics

    Use a plastic dye instead, if you can find one.

    Not sure if i can. I'm limited with such a supplies here. The best spray paint i was able to find is Motip Bumerspray

    In that case, just make sure you use multiple light coats, with time to dry in between.

    oh! first try 1 spray over unused connector - FDD i.e. - to make sure paint didn't ruin this particular plastic... an You can order connector kit by any desirable color from e-tailers...

    It might be worth giving the connectors a light sanding or some primer, just to give the paint something to adhere to.

    Why not just by a black connector kit, it will probably be cheaper than the cost of the paint.

    :) not realy. Single 24 pin connector will cost about 2.5 euro plus shipping ~ 7,5 euro (modDIY). Spray paint can ~5 euro.

    I don't know where you live but I buy all my housings from here and the 24 pin are about €1 (VGA and CPU housings are about €0.50 and I'm pretty certain they ship Worldwide. modDIY charge exorbitant amounts for parts and shipping.
